iPads and other tablet computers may not be going anywhere anytime soon.
According to a recent survey conducted by the Pearson Foundation "tablet ownership among college students and college-bound high school students has more than tripled from a year ago." Tablet PCs—portable computing devices typically characterized by touchscreen or pen-interface—are not only becoming more common, but students see them as a valuable learning resource and expect to see them replace textbooks in the near future.
